Buoys for the Bays

Raising awareness by merging Art + Science

About

The Buoys for the Bays Art + Science Initiative is designed to raise awareness and funding to support the work of Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Program’s Back to the Bays Initiative. Local artists and public participants turn reclaimed fishing buoys into marine-themed works of art! Buoys will be displayed in a special exhibit and auctioned off in support of our bays.

Join us in celebrating 10 years of the Back to the Bays Initiative!

Take a retrospective look at 10 years of species artwork by local artists.

Reclaimed fishing buoys have been transformed into artwork by local artists and community members. Buoys will be featured in a silent auction to benefit Back to the Bays. Artwork from prior year will be also available for purchase!
