Marine Meadows Workshop: Sag Harbor

Help CCE staff restore eelgrass meadows at our new Redwood Facility in Sag Harbor at this educational eelgrass weaving workshop!

Participants will weave live eelgrass shoots into biodegradable burlap planting discs, which will later be planted by our Habitat Team's divers.

Eelgrass meadows provide essential habitat for many species of finfish and shellfish during part or all stages of life. They also prevent erosion, buffer storms, and sequester carbon, helping to mitigate climate change.
