Back to the Bays x Kidd Squid Brew for the Bay Release Party!
Join the Back to the Bays Team and Kidd Squid Brewing Co. as we celebrate the release of our 2nd annual Brew for the Bay! Proceeds from beer sales will directly support the shellfish and habitat resotration work being conducted in the waters off of Sag Harbor through Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Program's Back to the Bays Initiative.
Stewardship Session: Seahorse Hotel at Kidd Squid
Did you know the Northern Lined Seahorse is native to Eastern Long Island? Unfortunately, loss of habitat has led to significant decline in their populations. Come to this interactive workshop to learn about the life cycles + behaviors of seahorses from CCE Marine's experts, and then work together as a group to construct a "Seahorse Hotel" artificial habitat based on what you have learned--your creation will be deployed in local waters and utilized in our new seahorse restoration + monitoring efforts!

The North Fork Polar Bears, CAST, and CCE Marine Program's Back to the Bays Initiative are excited to announce the 3rd Annual North Fork Polar Bear Plunge, where community and conservation come together! 8:30am Registration, 10am Plunge!
Greenport Shellabration Weekend, SAVE THE DATE!
Save the date for our 13th Annual Greenport Shellabration! Held each year on the first weekend in Decemeber, Shellabration is our largest fundraiser, drawing over 1,500 ‘shellabrants’ to the village of Greenport. Mark your calendars and get ready to enjoy local oysters, beverages, and support small businesses, all in support of CCE Marine’s Back to the Bays and SPAT Program.
Back to the Bays Marine Meadows Workshop: Kidd Squid Brewery
Help CCE Marine's Team in our eelgrass restoration efforts by helping weave eelgrass shoots into burlap "tortillas" for transplanting! Support from Kidd Squid's Brew for the Bays and our community fundraising campaign have enabled habitat and shellfish restoration activities to take place within our Sag Harbor Back to the Bays Stewardship Site!

Reef Raising Party
CCE Marine invites the Sag Harbor community to give Back to the Bays by taking part in our first spat-on-shell oyster planting at our new reef site!
Learn about the value of oyster reefs and how we produce spat-on-shell from our Aquaculture Coordinator, play a role in scientific data collection by counting and measuring baby oysters, and then help us “plant” the oysters in our designated reef site in Sag Harbor Cove off of John Steinbeck Waterfront Park. ** Depending on your level of participation, you may get dirty and/or wet. **
We will also be featuring ArtSEA activities for kids (and kids at heart).
This is a free event, and we welcome all ages to LEARN, DO, ENJOY and help GIVE BACK TO THE BAYS.
