ArtSEA Afterschool: 4 Tuesdays at Pine Neck, East Quogue (7-11yrs)
Join us afterschool on 4 Tuesdays to learn and create marine-themed artwork at our new Pine Neck Facility! 7-11 yrs.
Registration includes all 4 sessions:
November 17th & 24th, and December 1st & 8th
This afterschool series meets from 4-5:30pm over 4 Tuesdays at our NEW Pine Neck Facility in East Quogue!
ArtSea participants enjoy the benefits of merging scientific and artistic observation to explore the surrounding environment, learn about local marine life, and develop their unique artistic expression.
All art materials provided. Just pack a snack and dress for a mess!
We'll be using acrylic paints and other materials that may stain clothes.
Prepare to spend some time outside, temperature and weather permitting.
This is a drop-off program. Enjoy a moment for yourself, while we keep the kids engaged, learning, and creating!
Pick-up is promptly at 5:30pm.

A Day at the Bay: Spring Break
Marine Science and art adventures! Get ready for an amazing adventure where marine science meets art. Explore the bayside ecosystem, learn about local species & habitat, and create art inspired by the sea. Spend the day learning and creating with Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Program educators Hazel Wodehouse and Carolyn Munaco. All participants will receive a signed copy of Long Island Marine and Coastal Field Guide.
Pack a lunch. Dress for a mess inside and layers with appropriate footwear for outside weather.

ArtSea Create & Sip Clams
Clams why are they so important? Join us at The Station in Hampton Bays and learn about why the hard clam is so imporatant, the role CCE Marine plays in the quantity of clams found in local bays and what you can do to help! And then we will get creative painting hard and surf clam shells. Local artist Carolyn Munaco will share tips on shell painting, how to paint a fast waterscape with minimal paint, and lettering.
