Help at Tiana Bayside Facility in the coastal plant nursery collecting & planting seeds, SEAd Bomb making, & transplanting native plants.
Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Program's Back to the Bays Initiative will be hosting a Coastal Habitat Stewardsip Session on October 31st 10-11:30am , as part of our work to help enhance and restore the coastal habitats of Southampton Town.
Help CCE in our coastal nursery prepping for winter and creating SEAd Bombs. Each participant will bring home milkweed seeds.
Coastal plants of many varities provide essential habitat for many species of birds, coastal land animals and the Diamondback Terrapin during part or all stages of life. They also help prevent erosion, buffer storms, and sequester carbon, helping to mitigate climate change. Our SEAd bombs will made with milkweeds, butterfly weed, goldenrod and coastal grasses.
